Industrial Turbine Flow Meters

COX Instruments offers a robust line of industrial turbine flow meters and ancillary electronics. The 81 Series flow meter is for clean liquid applications, while the 82 Series flow meter offers a self-cleaning robust bearing system to withstand particulates in the process fluid.

The 81 Series is an industrial flow meter for high accuracy applications in clean fluids. A retention technique eliminates the need for retaining rings and prevents lateral and axial movement of the internal assembly. The result is a meter more resistant to shock and vibration. The 81 Series turbine flow meter offers stainless steel housings and internal parts, including 440C stainless steel ball bearings. Various piping connections can be specified, to include, pipe threads, ANSI class 150/300/600 lb. flanges or flared tube end fittings. The electronics are offered in explosion proof or NEMA 4 enclosures.

COX 81 Series Industrial Turbine flow meters offer:

82 Series Turbine MeterThe 82 Series turbine flow meter was developed specifically for use in highly erosive and non-lubricating fluids. This is made possible by a unique tungsten ball and aluminum oxide sleeve bearing, designed to withstand particulates. It is self-cleaning, due to the centrifugal action of the rotating balls, making this the ideal bearing for industrial process applications. Disassembly for inspection is easy and will not affect the K-factor. The rotor is not position sensitive unlike other sleeve bearing type designs, due to the double ended ball construction. The bearing system can withstand radial and axial loading and provide for bi-directional flow measurement.

The 82 Series is offered with various piping connections, to include, pipe threads, ANSI class 150/300/600 lb. flanges or flared tube end fittings. The electronics are offered in explosion proof or NEMA 4 enclosures. Except for the unique bearing materials, the housing and internal parts are made of stainless steel.
